A 13-year old from Colorado Springs is taking his love for building things with the construction set K'NEX and turning it into a business. Lucas Bruno used the toys to build this 15 foot tall roller coaster that he calls the "Tornado Tower" in the entryway of his family's home.
He's recently been hired by Integrity Bank to build a Christmas-tree shaped coaster in their lobby next month. Lucas figures it will only take a couple of days to complete the job.
"Since it's not as big as this one, it might not take as long. So, approximately three days or so,” Lucas said. “It depends on how long it takes to take this one apart."
When he was ten, Lucas built a coaster that won him the title of 2007 K'NEXpert of the year and a $15,000 college scholarship. He hopes to one day own his own amusement park and build full-sized roller coasters.
