Reacting to John McCain's visit to Colorado Springs Saturday, Obama supporters crowded in front of a coffee shop downtown. Their hope was to not be drowned out by the republican senator's speech at an airplane hanger across town. They chanted "McCain, more of the same!", signs in hand.
"Senator McCain will be more of the same," Rick Duncan said as he took the microphone. "It will be more of deploying the national guard, more of cutting veterans' health care, more of under-funding troops."
At the rally, supporters criticized John McCain's speech saying he did not provide any solutions to the situation in Iraq or for caring for returned veterans. They also renewed a promise to continue a hard fought campaign for Obama, while claiming that McCain can not count on a landslide victory in Colorado Springs.
