El Paso County republican women gathered at McCain headquarters to prepare for this weekend's visit by John McCain and Sarah Palin. They hope to finish one thousand posters before the event.
Wielding paintbrushes, they responded to questions about the media's reporting of Palin's eldest daughter's pregnancy. Jennifer Waller said she thought it was "horrible." Connie Lamdin says she thinks politician's children "should be off limits." Another volunteer Tina Perez says the daughter "is not the first or the last and this has nothing to do with policy."
All were looking to hear her speak at the convention as she accepted the vice presidential nomination. Several expressed happiness that McCain chose a woman as his running mate.
