There were close to 100 arrests last night in downtown Denver. A group of nearly 300 protestors was assembled near the Denver City and Couty Building when they were confronted by police. Police officers say the massive group was disrupting traffic near the Pepsi Center, which is currently home to the Democratic National Convention.
Witnesses say police used pepper spray on some people in the group when they threw bags of colored liquid at officers. The associated press reports that part of the group charged at police, then retreated when police shoved back.
