El Paso County finalizes primary election results

The El Paso County Clerk & Recorder's Office completed its certification of the 2008 primary election. The certification comes after a thorough review of all the ballots cast, by the Canvass Board.
"We are grateful to the Canvass Board members for their time and the efficiency with which they conducted the official election 'audit,'" Clerk and Recorder Bob Balink says. "Equally important is the fact that 814 ballots cast by Provisional Voters have been added to the Official Election Results."
El Paso County had 64,034 ballots cast, for a turnout of 25.41%.
