Truck restrictions in Denver during DNC

Truckers carrying shipments of hazardous materials are banned in Denver during the Democratic National Convention, Aug. 23-30. The ban was announced Tuesday by the Colorado State Patrol.
Trucks transporting hazardous material southbound on I-25 will be routed to westbound I-76, westbound I-70 and southbound C470 around Denver. Northbound I-25 hazardous materials trucks will be routed to northbound I-225 to westbound I-70, and then to westbound I-270.
Officers will be stopping trucks to ensure compliance with temporary routing restrictions and alternate routes.
The Colorado Department of Transportation also has announced a complete closure of I-25 in Denver for part of Thursday, August 28.
