Major grass fire along Hwy 94 100% contained

A fire that burned thousands of acres is now 100% contained, but only after destroying one home and several structures. Officials say about 50 people were evacuated.

Fire crews say the wind made fighting the fire difficult. Schriever Air Force Base says about 600 acres burned on its property.

The original call came in around noon, and fire agencies all over the region responded to fight the fire.
