Home Depot workers help homeless shelter

The Home Depot in Pueblo is lending a hand to an organization that helps the homeless. Home Depot workers built a fence around a housing complex Thursday which is managed and operated by Posada. The complex is a short term housing unit for the homeless while they look for a place of their own. Home Depot donated close to $4,000 for the project.
While Home Depot supplied the materials, its workers strapped-on tool belts out of a sense of community commitment. Preston Torres, Home Depot store manager said, "It's absolutely fantastic just to give back to the community....This is all volunteer work. These are donated hours by the associates of the Home Depot."
With some of the donated money, coaches from East High School assembled a playground, which they set up in the center of the complex.
