Springs police investigate suspicious incident on city's northeast side

Investigators in Colorado Springs are looking into what they call a suspicious incident. It left a woman with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are releasing few details, but we do know, just before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, emergency crews responded to a call on El Canto Drive. That's on the northeast side of the city. They took an adult female to the hospital.
About 4 hours later, around 8:10 p.m., the hospital called violent crimes detectives to look into the situation, because of the injuries she suffered.
The investigation in ongoing. The woman is listed as critical and life threatening.
