Wildfire burning west of Walsenburg contained; Crews battle fire west of Trinidad

A wildfire burning on La Veta Pass is now contained. The fire blackened 100 acres of meadowland on the Forbes/Trinchera Ranch, north of U.S. 60, four miles west of the summit.
Another wildfire is burning near Stonewall, on Highway 12, 15-20 miles west of Trinidad. It has torched acres, and destroyed two buildings. It's 30 percent contained.
