Two bicyclists killed after being hit by truck

Colorado Springs police say two bicyclists were killed after a pickup truck crashed into them Wednesday night. 

It happend at about 7:40 p.m. at S. 26th Street and Westend Avenue.  Police say a group of five people were riding their bikes in the area, when a woman driving a Ford F350 pickup hit two of them.  Both were killed at the scene of the crash.  Police will not release their names until their families are notified.

Police say the driver of the truck is 64-year-old Barbara Thomas.  She was arrested and faces several charges including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of drugs.
