Both the Colorado College and Air Force hockey teams are preparing for the NCAA tournament this weekend. And Air Force may have one of its big guns back just in time.

Falcons forward Eric Ehn, one of three Hobey Baker Award finalists last year, has been out since January when he broke his left leg in a game against Colorado College. He also suffered extensive ligament damage. However, he’s been skating the last few weeks and it’s possible he may be able to play Saturday when the Falcons open the NCAA Tourney in Worcester, Massachusetts against Miami of Ohio.

Ehn told News First Sports Director Lee Douglas, “All I can do is get ready and then if coach thinks I'm ready to go then he'll put me in. If not then I'll be the biggest fan in the building."

Air Force coach Frank Serratore says, “I don't want to count him in, I don't want to count him out. We'll see where it's at.”

Serratore said he wouldn’t take any chances and Ehn will only play if he can contribute.

ColoradoCollege hosts the NCAA West Regional at the World Arena which begins on Friday. The second seeded Tigers open against third seeded Michigan State Friday at 8:00 p.m.   Notre Dame plays New Hampshire in the other game on Friday. The winners meet Saturday for a berth in the Frozen Four in Denver
