DENVER (AP) - Colorado recalled right-hander Ryan Speier from Triple-A Colorado Springs before the Rockies played the New York Mets Friday.

To make room for Speier the Rockies optioned left-hander Cedrick Bowers to the Sky Sox.

Speier is 1-and-1 with a 4.13 ERA in 25 games for the Rockies this season. Bowers has a 13.50 ERA in five games with the Rockies.
