CC Tigers ready for tough test in West Regional

Colorado Springs hockey fans get to see four of the best college hockey teams in the country this weekend. Top seeded New Hampshire, second seeded Colorado College, third seeded Michigan State and fourth seeded Notre Dame make up the West Regional of the NCAA Hockey Tournament.
It just may be the toughest region in the country. CC coach Scott Owens told News First, “We're excited with our region, in terms of freshness with new teams. We probably have the most difficult region, along with Madison, Wisconsin. We're excited about the challenge and it's nice for our fans to see different teams.”
CC takes on the defending NCAA Champion Michigan State Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The West Regional kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with New Hampshire and Notre Dame. The winners play Saturday at 8:00 p.m. for a spot at the Frozen Four in Denver April 10 and 12.
Less than 600 tickets are available for the West Regional games. Tickets can be purchased from Colorado College or the World Arena box office.
