Once again baseball is the game for this week’s “Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week” winner. Congratulations to Pueblo West senior first baseman Jeremy Trujillo.
During the season, while taking batting practice, Jeremy suffered what appeared to be a seizure. But he battle back and when he was cleared to play he hit .800 in his first game back. He was a leader for the Cyclones all season. In his free time Jeremy mentors several young players in the Pueblo community.
The high school sports season is winding down but you still have time to nominate your athlete of the week. Then watch News First at 6pm and 10pm every Tuesday night for the announcement of the "Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week."
