MAJOR DUTIES:
Formation, management, oversight, coordination of environmental management programs IAW applicable federal, state, local statutes and their implementing regulations. Program areas include, but are not limited to air, noise management, solid waste, toxic and hazardous waste, hazardous material management, water, wastewater, restoration, energy and water conservation, and pollution prevention. Coordinates compliance programs with directorate natural resource, biological, forestry, wildlife, and cultural resource programs. Primary POC during environmental regulatory personnel visits, inspections. Acts as Contracting Officers (Technical) Representative on various contracts. Technical expert advising top mgmt on environmental compliance and pollution prevention programs. Briefs key management officials on program status and issues.
